Anxiety Counseling and Therapy
Learn to FINALLY Let Go and Create the Peaceful, Rewarding and Joyous Life You Desire
If you are like a lot of the people I help every day, you would do just about anything to put an end to living in a constant state of fear, of the panic attacks, and the seemingly endless thoughts and worries about things over which you have no control.
Just the thought of struggling through another day trying to cope with anxiety and stress is exhausting.
Your professional life is suffering. Your personal life is suffering. Your health is suffering.
After all, how can you possibly focus on your work and take care of those you love – let alone be kind to people and take care of yourself – when all of your energy is spent trying to pretend everything is fine.
What can you do?
Food, exercise, alcohol, drugs, online gaming. Nothing seems to help, at least not for long.
You have tried just about everything you can think of to have a sense of well-being and feel in control of your life , but the anxiety and stress are always there, even at night when you are trying to sleep. You can feel them in your throat and chest.
You have even been to therapy. However, although it helped for a time, the issues have never really been resolved. The anxiety and sense of panic always seem to return.
Fortunately, the fact that you are reading this means you haven’t given up hope.
That hope is the good news.
It means that some part of you believes, even knows, that you can still create the relationships and life you desire.
You don’t need to keep doubling-down, trying to do it all, and feeling like a failure for not being able to make things happen.
What you need is the right kind of help!
And that help is available …
Anxiety Counseling and Therapy that Actually Works
If you have been in therapy before and wondered why, although it has helped, the anxiety, panic attacks, and other stressful feelings you are struggling with have never fully resolved, it is likely because there is some kind of unresolved trauma lying at their core.
It is like going to a doctor for high blood pressure, and taking the blood pressure medication he or she prescribes. Sure the meds will help. But they will only help so much until you address the underlying causes of your high blood pressure, such as eating a lot of unhealthy foods and not exercising.
When it comes to addressing anxiety and panic attacks, there are basically two types of counseling and psychotherapy, which I refer to as “top down” and “bottom up” approaches.
The theory underlying “top down” approaches (such as psychodynamic or cognitive behavioral therapy) is that by changing your thoughts, those cognitive changes then filter down to change your feelings and emotions.
While these types of treatment approaches can be helpful and I use them from time to time, they are not particularly effective when it comes to overcoming trauma. Again, it is like taking blood pressure medication without changing your diet and exercise routines.
This is why I typically use “bottom up” approaches to psychotherapy with clients – techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Image Transformation Therapy (ImTT).
“Bottom up” approaches allow you to work and heal at the physical level with your body, as well as at the level of the unconscious mind, which is the key to not only coping with and overcoming anxiety and stress, but resolving the traumatic experiences that lie at their heart.
In other words, “bottom up” approaches to psychotherapy can help you eliminate the root causes of your anxiety and provide the LASTING relief you desire and deserve.
Can a “Bottom Up” Approach to Anxiety Counseling and Therapy Really Help?
I have used EMDR with hundreds of clients over the past couple of decades, and it has been rare that EMDR has not proved incredibly effective at helping overcome both anxiety and panic attacks.
But more than this, I can also help you experience immediate relief through a process known as Image Transformation Therapy.
While EMDR is typically much faster and more effective than other forms of anxiety counseling and therapy, Image Transformation Therapy can help you “dump out” very powerful, negative emotions (pain, depression, anxiety, fear) and feel a whole lot better in just a small handful of sessions!
I know that may sound too good to be true. I have felt that way myself sometimes, and am still amazed by how well it works. However, I have been using Image Transformation Therapy for over seven years, and it typically does work that quickly and efficiently.
But don’t take my word for it. Just work with me for two or three sessions and decide for yourself.
Of course, none of this is to say all of your problems will be solved after just two or three sessions. However, you will feel a WHOLE LOT better.
And once we have alleviated the worst symptoms you are struggling with – those things that are really causing some sort of crisis that is preventing you from functioning – then we can transition to understanding, working through, and resolving the underlying issues that are keeping you from creating the rewarding relationships and life you desire.
Remember, you CAN learn to quickly cope with and overcome anxiety, stress, and panic.
I have helped hundreds of clients do just this, and I can help you, too.
